Salary: Competitive Band 8 salary + shift allowance. £5,000 Golden Hello (T&Cs apply)
We are looking for a Surgical Care Practitioner with strong Robotics experience to join our Theatre team at The Christie Private Care in Manchester, currently rated “Outstanding” by the CQC.
The theatres provide a vibrant, exciting and professional environment where the advanced equipment and technology we use is second to none. We work with World Class Surgeons and the latest innovative technology and equipment including Da Vinci Surgical system and have performed over 500 robotic procedures with the Davinci Xi robot currently.
What you will do:
Provide skilled assistance as a Robotic SCP
Lead the scrub team as required, working closely with the Scrub Lead
Perform the Surgical First Assistant role as necessary to meet the needs of the department
Participate in patient assessment and perioperative care as deemed necessary by the Consultant surgeon
Take a lead role in the teaching and development of all members of the operating room team, ensuring up-to-date and evidence-based practice within the team
Ensure quality improvement, participating in audits as necessary
Participate in the development of the robotic Service at The Christie Private Care
Facilitate daily service delivery in collaboration with colleagues, leading in making weekly or Monthly allocation of the SCP in conjunction with needs of the service.

What you’ll bring:
Qualified Surgical Care Practitioner (Essential)
Registration as a healthcare professional (e.g. nurse or ODP) with a related honours degree
2 years + experience working as a Qualified Surgical Care Practitioner.
