Reporting to EHR Programme Director
It is a hugely exciting time for our organization to join our Expanse programme in the implementation of Electronic Health Record (EHR) system. Focused on advancing our technology and integrating web-based navigation, EHR will allow HCA Healthcare clinicians and colleagues to enhance patient safety, quality and care and to maintain our outstanding ratings and continue to be a global market leader in complex care.
The CMIO will understand the operational and strategic vision of the organisation while leveraging technology integration to improve patient safety, quality care, and positive outcomes. The CMIO also ensures that the design and build of the EHR is interdisciplinary, with sufficient end user input, and that no unintended consequences occur as a result of the implementation.
The CMIO is key to engaging consultants and primary care practitioners, promoting clinician adoption, which is vital to the successful EHR implementation. This senior leader should work closely with corporate and facility leadership to ensure the EHR is deployed to best support evidence-based patient care.
The CMIO ensures Health Information Technology (HIT) aligns with clinical strategic goals of the organisation. The CMIO represents consultants, primary care practitioners and other clinicians at the executive table to ensure their voices are heard in all phases of project planning, design, and implementation of an EHR and HIT.
