Position Senior Staff Nurse – ITU

Location: London Bridge Hospital, London
Hours: Full-Time (37.5 hrs)
Contract: Permanent
Salary: Competitive + Excellent Benefits

We are looking for an ITU Senior Staff Nurse to join our 28-bed Intensive Care Unit (ITU) at London Bridge Hospital, rated Outstanding by the CQC. Our 24-hour Critical Care Unit provides continuous, specialist care to critically ill patients with a variety of medical and surgical conditions.

The unit is staffed by a highly skilled multidisciplinary team, including Consultant Intensivists, Critical Care Resident Medical Officers, and Critical Care Nurses. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation of the ITU.

You will support and mentor junior nurses, using your clinical expertise to guide them while also stepping up to lead the unit in the absence of the ITU Sister/Charge Nurse. Your responsibilities will be diverse—one day, you may be delivering individualised, high-quality patient care, and the next, you could be participating in audits or quality improvement projects to enhance the care we provide. No matter what each day brings, HCA UK will give you the time, tools, and support to grow and thrive in your career.

At HCA UK, we care about what matters to you—your ability to deliver exceptional care, your professional growth, and your overall wellbeing. We are committed to providing a supportive and rewarding work environment where you can build a career you’re proud of.

To be successful in this role, you must be a Band 6 ITU Nurse with an NMC PIN and have experience in Cardiac or General ITU. Extensive Critical Care experience is essential, along with completion of the ITU Critical Care Course (60 Credits).

If you're ready to take the next step in your Critical Care career, apply today and join a team that is redefining patient care.
