Senior Staff Nurse – Haematology/Oncology
Location: London, Private Care at Guy’s (Part of London Bridge Hospital)
Hours: Full time – 37.5 hours per week

Contract: Permanent

We are seeking an experienced Haematology/Oncology Nurse to join our specialist cancer nursing team at Private Care at Guy’s, part of London Bridge Hospital. As one of our state-of-the-art cancer centres, it has been rated Outstanding by the CQC. Our facility offers theatres, chemotherapy and radiotherapy services, oncology and surgical wards, delivering an exceptional standard of care rarely found in the private sector.

As a centre of excellence, we are at the forefront of clinical innovation, pioneering treatments such as robotic surgery, JACIE-accredited stem cell transplantation for blood cancers and Multiple Sclerosis, and revolutionary bispecific antibody therapy—currently available exclusively in the private sector at our hospital.

In this role, you will be integral in delivering comprehensive, high-quality care to patients undergoing various stages of cancer treatment. You will provide specialist nursing support in settings such as chemotherapy, radiotherapy, targeted therapies, and stem cell transplants, tailoring care to each patient’s unique needs.

You will be responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing personalised care plans, ensuring the safe and effective administration of Systemic Anti-Cancer Treatments (SACT), and managing symptoms with a focus on pain relief, nutritional support, and emotional well-being.

You will work in close collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, including oncologists, haematologists, pharmacists, and therapists, ensuring a holistic approach to patient care. Your commitment to patient safety, infection control, and maintaining the highest clinical standards will ensure the very best outcomes. Beyond the clinical side, you will also offer compassionate emotional and psychological support to patients and their families, guiding them through their cancer journey with understanding and expertise.

What you’ll bring:

  • A current NMC Nurse registration
  • Experience in Chemotherapy administration 
  • Post registration experience within haematology or oncology setting or equivalent
  • Clinical skills in venepuncture, cannulation, and intravenous drug administration
