We’re looking for a Paediatric Therapy Assistant to join our passionate and dedicated team at The Portland Hospital. Currently rated “Good” by the CQC.

The Portland Hospital is the UK’s only private hospital dedicated to the healthcare needs of women and children.

Internationally renowned for clinical excellence, The Portland Hospital is the only independent hospital in the UK entirely dedicated to women and children. Our inpatient and outpatient specialties reflect this, providing clinical expertise in Paediatrics, Obstetrics and Women`s Health.

Our Paediatric wards hold 56 inpatient beds + 11 day case and are equipped with the latest technology to provide advanced medical and surgical care, including a Paediatric Neurorehabilitation Unit and a Paediatric Intensive Care Unit which reflects the acuity and complex nature of the children who are admitted to our hospital. The Portland Hospital has a large number of international Paediatric patients, often funded by relevant embassies.

Working alongside our experienced and dynamic Multi Disciplinary Team within an inpatient setting you will provide support both clinically and non clinically to ensure the smooth running of the service. This is a patient facing role which will require excellent communications skills. Administration is a key part of the role requiring good organisational skills and using your initiative to ensure the department runs effectively.

What you’ll bring:

  • NVQ Level 3 or Equivalent

  • Experience of working with children

  • Experience within a Healthcare, Rehabilitation, or Education setting

  • Ability to swim as the role requires working with Hydrotherapy

  • Excellent administration skills

  • Ability to work independently

  • Experience within an inpatient setting (desirable)
