We’re looking for an Interim Head of Women’s + Urology Service Line to join our Service Line team based in Central London.
As Interim Head of Women’s + Urology Service Line you’ll be responsible for working with the CEOs of the services to drive quality, revenue and profit growth within the service lines across all HCA UK facilities.
In this role you will continue and support the existing top priorities for strategic growth and tactics for these service lines. You will be responsible for execution of strategy to yield growth and performance in partnership with senior executives.
You will proactively ensure business intelligence, best practices, and institutional knowledge are distributed across the division, contributing towards ‘One-HCA’. You will work alongside the Chief Medical Officer, Medical Director of Clinical Service Lines and the Clinical Services Group to ensure appropriate reporting, and follow-up of key clinical and quality performance indicators.

What you’ll do:
- With the service line CEO(s), you will support Women’s Health and Urology development as defined by the Next Generation Growth (NGG) plan and associated tactics in partnership with the facility CEOs, MD, CMO, division leadership, commercial team and Strategy & Development team to ensure sustained revenue and profit growth in these service lines.
- Promote operational standards and ensure that Women’s services and Urology services are established and coordinated across the division. Make recommendations and act where appropriate to ensure consistency of service delivery and standards across all sites. Take ownership to ensure plans are realized.
- Execute the existing division service line growth plan and associated tactics as agreed with the service line CEO and Department Chief Medical Advisors. Provide regular reports and progress updates to ensure that the service line plan is realised. Regularly review, develop and recommend corrective action resulting from measurement reporting.
- Provide leadership in managing, facilitating and communicating change within service line while fostering innovation and continuous improvement. Ensure any ideas or research that support the service line strategy are progressed and executed as appropriate.
- Work with the MD, CMO, service line CEO and Strategy & Development team to ensure translation and execution of the division strategy within Women’s Health & Urology service lines.
- Work closely to support Corporate Sales and HCA’s Private General Practitioners to engage corporate clients and integrate pathways to ensure seamless transition to secondary care.
- Work closely with HCA’s Commercial Contracts team to develop and ensure appropriate Private Medical Insurer engagement and contracting.
- Establish collaborative relationships with departments and managers within the hospitals to ensure the successful delivery of the service line strategy. Establishing and leading a cohesive service line structure that supports both clinical service delivery and growth at each of the hospital sites.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for Women’s Health (Breast, Gynaecology, Obstetrics, Fertility) and Urology programmes and technology. Making recommendations for improvement and development of the service lines. Utilise and compares HCA clinical data for Women’s Health & Urology Services to national data sets to inform and support the growth agenda.
- Seek and distributes market intelligence and trends to inform strategic decision making at division and facility level.
What you’ll bring:
- A master’s degree within a relevant subject. Alongside 5 plus years clinical experience or healthcare / strategy consulting.
- Demonstrative knowledge and experience within women’s health and urology within a hospital / multi-site setting.
- Demonstrative stakeholder engagement and influence skills at C Suite level, coupled with exceptional verbal and written communication and people management skills
- A creative problem solver coupled with the ability to interpret, analyse and evaluate skills.
- The ability to travel across all of HCA Healthcare UK facilities as and when required.
- Highly competent IT user – MS Excel and PowerPoint.
