Role: Theatre Informatics Facilitator
Site: The Christie Private Hospital Manchester
Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday
Contract Type: 12-month Fixed Term contract

We’re looking for a Theatre Informatics Facilitator to join our Theatre team at The Christie Private Care, currently rated “Outstanding” by the CQC.
As a key member of the team reporting into the Theatre Manger you would be responsible for duties such as the below:
Update & Maintain the integrity of Surgical & Anaesthetic Preference Cards
Management of OR dictionaries & Inventories
Ensure patient care documentation is completed accurately
Items & Implants for owned consignment are charged, processed and accurately documented.
Creation of PowerPoint presentations which include surgical services activity, datix information, revenue capture and theatre utilisation data.
Organise, attend and present presentations (mentioned above) on the monthly theatre and robotic user groups. Attendees include senior management, theatre manager, theatre Leads and a verity of surgeons and anaesthetists.
Attend 2 x theatre scheduling meetings per week, take the minutes for each meeting and distribute all actions.
Complete weekly and monthly excel reports which contain key points such as surgical performance data and distribute to senior management and the finance team.
Completing regular theatre reviews such as; KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators), Surgeon’s theatre utilisation, Theatre list delays and Theatre list over-runs.
Cross cover of the theatre scheduler which includes; Processing booking forms, supporting with anaesthetist cover, maintaining both HCA and NHS systems, organising and presenting the theatre scheduling meeting.

What you’ll bring:
Administrative experience (essential)
Previous Operating Room experience (desirable but not essential)
Previous experience of using clinical IT systems such as Meditech (desirable but not essential)
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Understands IT and software systems
