Team Leader Therapy Radiographer
London, London Bridge Hospital Radiotherapy at Guy’s
Permanent full time, 37.5 hours per week
7.5 hour shifts between 08:00 and 17:30

We’re looking for a Team Leader Therapy Radiographer to join our team at London Bridge Hospital Radiotherapy at Guy’s.
Located at Guy’s Hospital, this facility offers fast access to private radiotherapy services for patients in London, the City and across Kent and the Home Counties. Just a stone’s throw from London Bridge Station, this convenient setting offers comprehensive radiotherapy planning and treatment on one site using two TrueBeam linacs, Eclipse treatment planning system, dedicated GE CT scanner and AlignRT SGRT system. The facility offers a range of techniques including SABR, VMAT and breath-hold treatments.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist and deputise for the Superintendent Radiographers in leading the treatment and pre-treatment teams in the provision of the clinical service.
- Lead the team, ensuring efficient, accurate and patient-focussed treatment preparation and delivery, including accurate documentation in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
- Support with deciding the appropriate course of action in highly complex clinical care scenarios.
- Maintain effective liaison with relevant multi-disciplinary staff to ensure the provision of a high-quality service and a smooth and efficient work flow through the department.
- Maintain a high level of knowledge of radiotherapy treatment & modalities, and provide clinical leadership for the operation of radiotherapy equipment in accordance with operational procedures and local rules.
- Participate in the induction, supervision and teaching of staff within the clinical environment.
- Assist in maintaining an effective quality assurance programme for policies and procedures, reporting of errors, and risk and audit management.
- Ensure all errors and incidents are recorded and reported in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
Skills & Experience
- BSc or DCR(T) in Therapeutic Radiography or equivalent
- HCPC registration
- Extensive clinical radiotherapy experience, including experience as a Senior Radiographer or equivalent
- Wide range of professional expertise, including advanced radiotherapy techniques such as SABR and SGRT
- Comprehensive knowledge of electronic patient management systems, experience with Varian and ARIA is desirable
- Experience working in the pre-treatment setting is desirable
