Staff Nurse – Oncology

We’re looking for a Staff Nurse to join our Cancer Nursing Team at Private Care at Guy’s, one of our state-of-the art cancer centres and, currently rated “Outstanding” by the CQC. Featuring theatres, chemotherapy and radiotherapy, oncology and surgical wards, and a four-bed intensive care unit we deliver a level of care rarely found in the private sector. A centre of excellence, we’re also constantly at the forefront of clinical innovation, whether that’s through our investment in pioneering robotic surgery, our JACIE accredited stem cell transplantation unit for blood cancers and Multiple Sclerosis or other treatments, such as revolutionary bispecific antibody therapy, which we’re currently the only private hospital able to offer.
As a skilled member of the nursing team you will be working on a 21- bed oncology inpatient ward, which also includes 2 stem cell transplant rooms. You will play a key role in supporting patients across their cancer journey. The patients consist of adults requiring a variety of oncology interventions, with variable level of dependency from acute to palliative. Within this role you will be offered the opportunity to undergo robust training for chemotherapy administration.
Day-to-day you’ll work on a variety of complex cases, but also with the very latest treatment, tools and techniques – allowing you to provide the best possible care for your patients. What you’ll bring:
- NMC Registration
- Haematology/Oncology experience preferable, but not essential
- NHS or Private Hospital experience
