Resident Doctor Generalist (general wards and day-case areas)
Location: Birmingham, The Harborne Hospital
Full time and part time roles available

Shifts are 12 hours patterned

Salary up to: £60,000- £68000 per annum dependant upon experience ( full time salary )

Contract to start asap, minimum of 1 year commitment, ideally 2.

We’re looking for General Surgical or Acute Medicine Resident Doctor to join our medical team at The Harborne Hospital, Birmingham, West Midlands.

The Harborne Hospital is our brand-new, purpose built, state-of-the-art £100m facility that opened in January 2024. Built in partnership with the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham. A purpose-built, multi-specialty hospital, providing a wide range of medical specialties including Orthopaedics, Cardiology, Gastroenterology and Gynaecology, it also has extensive Cancer care facilities. offer a variety of outpatient and inpatient services across 50 beds, including 6 level 3 critical care beds, with predominant specialities including Cardiology/Cardiac Surgery, Cancer and Complex Surgery.

As part of our team of Resident Doctors this particular position is to cover our general wards and day-case areas, acting on Consultant-Led decisions in partnership with highly specialist Nurses. Day-to-day this could include pre-op or post-op treatments, clinical assessments, ward rounds or clerking admissions, reviewing discharges, assessing referrals and providing immediate medical care such as attending and leading on emergency cardiac arrest calls or other instances where patients need your support.

What you’ll bring:

  • GMC Registration and License to Practice in the UK
  • MBBS medical qualification
  • A current ALS certificate
  • NHS Trained minimum completed year of 3 years specialty/IMT/CT Training.
  • Post Grad Exam MRCP or MRCS desirable.
