Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday with weekend requirements

Shift Times: 9am-5.30pm
Contract Type: Permanent
Salary: Competitive Depending on Experience

We’re looking for a Specialist QA and Technical Services Pharmacist to join our team at The Harley Street Clinic currently rated “Outstanding” by the CQC.

Based in London’s medical district, our hospital is accessible and is considered an employer of choice.  Our pharmacy team delivers an exceptional patient-centred service across our world-renown campus that house several centres of excellence from Cardiac to Diagnostics to Complex Oncology.

As a Specialist Pharmacist you will have leadership responsibilities within Pharmacy QA, and as a Senior Pharmacist, will be responsible for working across all aspects of the core pharmacy aseptic services which may include provision of medicines management, advice and evidence-based practice to inpatients and outpatients, risk management and clinical governance.

The Pharmacy Quality Assurance team is essential in upholding compliance by ensuring Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards within pharmacy production services and Good Distribution Practice (GDP) for the unlicensed units at HCA. Additionally, they support the Sarah Cannon Research Institute (SCRI) with third-party production for clinical trials. The team also aids general pharmacy operations by managing drug safety, overseeing drug recalls, reporting defective medicines, administering rights for the electronic production system (BD Cato), and assisting the Protocols team in decisions related to drug preparation. Furthermore, they ensure the validation of pharmacy refrigerators to maintain proper storage conditions.

What you’ll bring:

  • Master’s Degree in Pharmacy (or equivalent)

  •  GPhC Registration

  •  Relevant pharmacy experience including all completed rotations and experience within Aseptics

  • Ability to demonstrate knowledge and experience within QA

  • Strong initiative and commitment, with a ‘can do’ attitude to work

  • Be enthusiastic with an ability to motivate yourself and team

  • Possess excellent communication, organisation and leadership skills and demonstrate good problem-solving skill
