Facility and Inventory Assistant
Full Time 37.5 hrs (rota over 7 days a week, shifts 07:30 to 15:30, 8:00 to 16:00, 9:00 to 17:00 or 10:00 to 18:00)
Salary: £27,642 + Benefits (pension, private health cover, flexible benefits and excellent career development)
We’re looking for a Facility and Inventory Assistant to join our HCA Laboratories team based in Shropshire House, London. You will be part of a dedicated and passionate team and will play a vital role in enabling healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional care. Care that truly makes a difference. Please note, this is a non-clinical role and does not include any Laboratory duties
As a Facility and Inventory Assistant you'll work alongside our materials team to organise and manage the storage and stock control of all supplies and consumables for HCA Laboratories. Your responsibilities will include verifying and processing deliveries, overseeing the distribution of supplies, logging delivery notes and purchase orders, and assisting with inventory counts as needed. Bring your organisational skills and enthusiasm to help us maintain a seamless operation!
You’ll also benefit from flexibility as you’ll work across 7 days a week between the hours of 7:30 and 18:30. (on a shift rotation with others)

What you’ll do:
- Provide an excellent customer service experience for our colleagues and visitors
- Assist with the supplies and stock handling processes within HCA Laboratories
- Waste management, including clinical waste handling and the cleaning and maintenance of designated areas
- Reporting and dealing with replacement of damaged items
What you’ll bring:
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to work in a physical role where you are on your feet for long periods of time and lifting materials regularly.
- Knowledge of stock control as well as supplies and stock management systems.
- Experience with waste management.
- A good level of understanding and experience with Microsoft, Word, Excel and Outlook 365 and experience in using other computerised systems.
- Ability to work within a wider team but also alone at times.
- SMART and Meditech knowledge desirable.
