We’re looking for an Office Manager to join Sarah Cannon Research Institute. This role is vital in supporting the running of the Drug Development Unit (DDU), ensuring the smooth running of the Office/Facility on a day to day basis. Acting as Head of Department for Administration, you will be responsible for coordinating Front of House ensuring that reception is covered during core hours and managing administration staff and processes. You will also coordinate Facility site maintenance & management and will be responsible for ordering & managing office supplies. You will also provide PA & administrative support to the Director of SCRI UK and Medical Director as required.

What you’ll do:
- Oversee and cover reception, complete patient correspondence letters, book patient accommodation & taxi’s
- Oversee and cover Front of House area, ensuring reception is covered for core working hours, covering lunch breaks and holidays
- Facilitate & coordinate local onboarding induction for all new starters; working closely with line managers. Assisting line managers with local offboarding as per checklists
- Oversight of Catering & Housekeeping services and colleagues, liaising and holding regular meetings with HCA Hotel Services Department leads on facility issues
- Health & Safety Site Representative for SCRI
- Line manager to Receptionist – manage staff cover rotas during periods of holiday/sickness, managing performance & training of team, carrying out appraisals, promoting staff development & training, monitor mandatory training requirements ensuring always in date
- Oversee and manage all processes and workflows for the core deliverables of the Admin department
- Provide general PA & administrative support to the Director and Medical Director as required
- Perform ad hoc duties/projects as directed by Director
What you’ll bring:
- Good spoken and written English
- Office Management/PA experience within a healthcare setting is essential
- Excellent computer skills
- Excellent clerical / administrative and organizational skills
- Customer care awareness and experience delivering exceptional service
