Charge Integrity Technical Lead

The Charge Integrity Technical Lead supports the Charge Integrity team, a key function that provides guidance to Revenue Cycle Shared Services and facility clinical teams, promoting accurate charging and optimised revenue capture. This newly created role will be responsible for supporting adherence to HCA chargemaster standards and billing compliance initiatives in preparation for Meditech Expanse go-live

 

This individual will work collaboratively with cross functional teams to support new facility setup to ensure appropriate chargemaster mapping and compliance with HCA standards. In addition, this role will support appropriate revenue capture education and monitoring of chargemaster and revenue capture practices and determine corrective actions, including educational opportunities, mapping opportunities.

 

The Charge Integrity Team will work collaboratively with the Expanse project of ensuring revenue neutrality and best practice across all service lines in relate to charge capture

What you'll do:

  • Expanse clinical charge mapping and revenue neutrality assurance

  • Charge Reconciliation and Rejections

  • Go-live preparation and support, post go-live operational lead for new facility set-up

  • Identifying any changes required in Expanse dictionaries.

  • Heavy use of analytics to target areas within hospitals that have the greatest risk of revenue leakage and third-party audits.

  • Highlight facility opportunities for quality in charging and put systems in place to measure and communicate improvements

  • Establish a network of trust with facility CFOs, work collaboratively with their teams to prioritise opportunities in charge integrity.

  • Contribute quality data to charge audit

What you'll bring:

  • 2+ Years in within Revenue Cycle Operations

  • Experience in hospital operations and clinical charging practice

  • Charge audit processes

  • Experience in cross-business initiatives or projects

  • Good understanding of statistics with ability to apply to commercial problem solving

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex analysis in an easily understandable way by targeting messaging to the audience
