HCA Healthcare UK’s Information Technology Group (ITG) is a Group IT function, developing and managing all aspects of healthcare IT across our portfolio of hospitals, clinics, outpatient centres, laboratories and other associated businesses.
The ITG Enterprise Systems Department is composed of specialist teams for Business Systems, Clinical Systems, and Oncology and Diagnostic systems. The department is responsible for: managing intake requests for changes to existing Business and Clinical applications to enable the business to streamline current processes and improve the care of our patients; rapidly assessing, designing, developing and delivering solutions to enable patient care and support the new partnership with the NHS; and effectively transitioning production solutions from Project to Support. This role is within the Acute Care Services team in ITG Enterprise Systems Department.
What you'll do:
Delivering management, technical and administrative services to support and maintain live applications.
Ensures that all requests for support are dealt with according to set standards and procedures.
Drafts and maintains procedures and documentation for applications support.
Manages application enhancements to improve business performance.
Advises on application security, licensing, upgrades, backups, and disaster recovery needs.
Providing advice and recommendations, based on expertise and experience, to address client needs.
Assessing risks associated with proposed changes and ensuring changes to products, services or systems are controlled and coordinated.
Investigating business situations to define recommendations for improvement action.
Applying the processes, systems and functions required to make new and changed services and features available for use.
What you'll bring:
Experience in electronic healthcare records management systems, preferring Meditech experience.
Experience in ITIL and ITSM services roles providing exceptional and caring end user IT services and application support.
Healthcare systems upgrades, technical platform product services, and troubleshooting experience.
Healthcare IT project experience in a role of system build and test.
Demonstrated experience being sensitive to end users concerned with care of patients.
Ability to appropriately manage task deadlines.
Analytical and Data driven approach to problem solving.
Communicate confidently and effectively both written and oral to all levels of the organization.
