There is an exciting opportunity for a Theatre Supply Chain Team Lead to join the London Bridge Hospital. This role will be vital in supporting the Supply Chain Manager in all aspects of the materials supply chain from procurement of goods and services onto theatre department, through MRP output to stock. You will assist in the planning function to ensure that supply chain is coordinated to meet the requirements of the end user facing activity and will provide leadership to the Supply chain team and ensure theatre supplies are maintained as per service level agreement.

What you’ll do:

  • Managing theatre supply chain technicians and loan kit coordinators
  • Responsible for maintaining all theatre inventories, including but not limited to reviewing min/max levels, cycle count, expiration check and replenishment (based on usage)
  • Working with relevant stakeholders in maintaining item dictionary; add/remove lines
  • Ensuring that all locations are optimised with right sized storage and labelling as per company standard
  • Responsible for consignment inventories including reconciliation of used consigned items (within 48hrs after use) and facilitating quarterly audits as per company policy
  • Builds and maintains relationships with key stakeholders across clinical and non-clinical roles within surgical areas and supply chain
  • Timely processing of orders based on “Just in time model” to ensure optimised stock holding within the theatre area’s
  • Liaising with vendors and internal colleagues within the loan kit process
  • Ensuring loan kit orders are turned around and processed within set time frame
  • Participate, support and take lead on supply chain related projects involving the surgical area’s
  • Lead on annual stock valuation process across the theatres

What you’ll bring:

  • Previous experience in Materials management is essential, ideally within theatres 
  • Experience in Supply Chain within a healthcare environment is desirable
  • Degree Qualified or studying towards CIPS is preferred
  • Able to demonstrate IT skills across various platforms including inventory management systems and Microsoft office applications
  • Excellent communication skills – verbal and written
  • A team player who will be able to adapt to a complex environment and a quick learner
