Maintenance Plumbing / Mechanical Engineer
The Lister Hospital, Chelsea. This role will require rotation across the Lister Campus
Full time 40 hours per week (Monday – Friday, with on call and weekends also required 1 in 4)

Salary: £35,000 - £39,000 per annum + excellent benefits
We’re looking for a Maintenance Plumbing/ Mechanical Engineer to join our Estates team based at The Lister Hospital. This role is vital in ensuring a first class building maintenance service within the hospital and satellite sites, covering reactive, project and scheduled maintenance work.

What you’ll do:
- To ensure a safe working environment is maintained at all times and to adhere to HCA Healthcare policy and procedures
- Carry out PPM’s and daily checks of allocated plant area, ensuring the area is well maintained and tidy at all times. To work on planned preventive maintenance schedules, in line with departmental goals and objectives
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
- Respond to, and complete incoming works logged on the internal computerised maintenance management system (Engineering Central) prioritising your workload, responding quickly to emergency maintenance and reactive maintenance as requested
- Carry out installation works as instructed by Estates Manager
- To assist in projects as required
What you’ll bring:
- Qualified in relevant discipline e.g. City & Guilds or NVQ plumbing, or an engineering building services qualification
- Previous experience within a Hospital or similar organisation
- Health and Safety, COSHH
- General knowledge of Fire regulations
- Excellent customer care and communication skills
- Must have a flexible approach to work
- Good verbal and non-verbal communication skills
