Self-Pay Navigator

The Wilmslow Hospital, SK9 1NY (with flexibility to cover other sites)

Full-time 37.5 hours per week

Shifts between 8AM-8PM

We’re looking for a Self-Pay Navigator to join our team based at The Wilmslow Hospital. This is your opportunity to become a vital part of the UK’s largest private healthcare provider. As a Self-Pay Navigator, you will play a vital role in delivering a high-quality service to our patients.

This role will involve providing a comprehensive range of administration services to patients, consultants and other third parties in a high volume and pressurised environment.

The Self-Pay Navigator is responsible for reviewing the in-house financial worklist daily and visiting in-house patients; collecting estimated patient liability amounts; explaining all financial information, responsibilities and working closely with all stakeholders to ensure patient’s financial coverage.

The Self-Pay Navigator will support outpatient services in relation to escalated pricing queries and work closely with clinical teams, revenue cycle teams and third-party sponsors to ensure timely and accurate patient registration and interim billing

What you'll do:

  • Greet patients and visitors with a friendly and professional demeanour.  

  • Communicate efficiently and professionally to all internal and external stakeholders.

  • Maintain accurate and up to date information on the hospital database during the patient journey.

  • Collection and processing of patient funds 

  • Responding to account queries and complaint resolution 

What you'll bring:

  • Excellent customer care skills

  • Problem solving ability including patient and consultant complaints

  • Excellent organisational and communication skills in order to timely communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing

  • Good IT skills

  • Finance study/qualification desirable
