We’re looking for a DSE Manager to join our Primary Care team based in Central London.

As a DSE Manager you'll provide support and guidance to the DSE team.  You will be involved in ensuring the efficient performance of the team and manage each individual’s performance with their allocated clients ensuring that all obligations of the DSE assessor are fulfilled.  

You'll will also be expected to have a client load of your own as a DSE Assessor. Your Permanent base will be in London but you will be required to travel throughout London and to regional offices across the UK (including but not limited to Bournemouth on a regular basis, Scotland and other non-London sites on an occasional basis to deliver these services).

The Display Screen Equipment (DSE)/Workstation Assessor is an important service in the occupational health team.  Your role is to ensure that the employer is meeting their obligations under the Display Screen Equipment Act 1992.  You will also provide support and advice to both the employee and employer to ensure that the workplace environment is safe and productive

What you’ll do:

  • Manage the performance of the DSE team and ensuring that the quality of work is of a high standard

  • Recruit staff so that service levels are maintained

  • Maintain good client relationship with all existing clients and new business

    Respond to client needs, adapting the service if needed.

  • Present management information to clients at periodic meetings to ensure the service remains relevant to their needs

  • Provide opinion and ergonomic equipment advice to clients(employees and corporates)

  • Deliver onsite workstation assessment services to clients. Undertaking workstation assessments for occupants at client sites, and ensuring that these assessments are suitable and sufficient for both the individual and the organisation.  You will be expected to discuss and escalate cases to Occupational Health or government Access to Work Programme as necessary.

  • You are responsible for fielding enquiries and requests(via a variety of mediums) for workstation assessments and ensuring that the requests are managed in a timely fashion in accordance to relevant service level agreements (SLA)

  • Produce timely and comprehensive reports based on the findings of your DSE Assessment in accordance to SLA.  The findings of the assessments are also collated into a database both to provide a permanent record and enable management information to be extracted

What you’ll bring:

  • Competent in using Excel and Outlook

  • Excellent communication skills working with both internal and external customers

  • Experience in completing workstation assessments

  • Experience in leading a customer focussed team

  • Ability to work under time pressure and to service level agreements

  • Very organised with high attention to detail

  • Health Qualification (desirable but not essential)
