Reporting to the Workday Systems Delivery Manager, the Workday Functional Analyst will be responsible for supporting the ongoing design, deployment and maintenance within the Workday HCM platform within HCA Healthcare UK.  Working with the Senior Workday Functional Analysts to support the delivery of the Workday strategy and roadmap, ensuring the tenant is fully operational, managed and maintained. This role would support a cross section of all live modules within the Workday ecosystem as well as ensuring the service delivery of support tickets is within agreed SLAs.   

In conjunction with the Senior Workday Functional Analyst, this role will provide support to various work stream activities across different functional areas within HCM, working with other functional and technical analysts to control capacity across the Workday support team. 

What you'll do:

  • Support the design, deployment, and maintenance of one or more functional area of the Workday HCM; 

  • Deliver the deployment of feature releases and system maintenance, ensuring client requirements are met; 

  • Aid in the evaluation and feasibility of system modifications and enhancements; 

  • Ensure up-to-date documentation of system functions, processes and capabilities. 

  • Support the business owner master data stewards to ensure data quality is maintained

  • Provide day-to-day systems support, including reorganization events done manually or via mass update (e.g. iLoad / EIB); 

  • Undertake Workday support queue BAU activities ensuring end user SLA target are met.

  • Develop and maintain training materials and job aids, in addition to potentially leading training efforts; 

  • Participate in scheduled and ad hoc training in order to improve policy and process acumen; 

  • Perform special projects and other duties as assigned; 

  • Aid in the provision of Business Analysis and Change Management activities for successful delivery of system and business process changes; 

  • Supports the senior Workday team in product selection, preparation of RFP’s in conjunction with the IT PMO function. 

What you'll bring:

  • Workday HCM areas configuration experience 

  • Workday Phase X implementation experience in HCM area 

  • Workday Tenant Management & support tools (I.e TouchPoint Toolkit) experience 

  • IT Service Management knowledge/experience (i.e. ITIL) 

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with HR and IT clients 

  • Ability to accurately collect information in order to understand and assess the client’s needs and situation 

  • Ability to prioritise work and provide timely follow-up & resolution 

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple work activities
