Senior Staff Nurse – ITU

London, The Wellington Hospital

Full Time 37.5hrs

Permanent

Salary: £Competitive + Shift Enhancement

We’re looking for an ITU Senior Staff Nurse to join our state-of-the-art ITU Unit at The Wellington Hospital, the UK’s largest private hospital and currently rated “Good” by the CQC. Not only is The Wellington Hospital the largest private hospital in the UK, but we’re also home to the UK’s largest private critical care unit – fully equipped with the latest technology to provide specialist care to level 2 and 3 patients. We’re big believers in growth, so when you join us we’ll support you to be at your best with a robust career pathway and opportunities for development such as stand-alone specialist modules, apprenticeships or event support to complete your critical care module.

As an ITU Senior Staff Nurse you’ll have the opportunity to act as a deputy to the sister/charge nurse.  We’ll look to you to ensure all their needs are met by effectively communicating with your patient, their families and your wider team. It’s a great opportunity to develop your skills and work across an extremely diverse and acute patient caseload covering a range of specialities, including GI, Neuro & Spinal – giving you the flexibility to specialise in a specific area or keep your work varied and your skills challenged. What’s more, with our nurse-to-patient ratio frequently at 1:1 or 1:2 you’ll have more time to do what you do best: deliver exceptional care.

At HCA UK we care about what you care about. We care that you want to deliver the very best care. We care that you want a career you can be proud of. We care that you want working conditions that support your health and wellbeing. Let us care for you and your career, the same way you do for others.

What you’ll bring:

  • Registered General Nurse with NMC pin.
  • Neuro, Cardiac or General ITU specific skills and experience.
  • Excellent communication skills with good time management and prioritisation skills.
  • Critical Care Course (60 Credits)
