Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday

We’re looking for a Inpatient Therapy Lead to join our team at Princess Grace currently rated “Good” by the CQC. As a Inpatient Therapy Lead, you will be responsible for the provision of the Inpatient Therapy Services, leading the team to provide a high quality, efficient and professional service. The Inpatient Physiotherapy & Occupational Therapy Lead will also hold a clinical caseload and will have the opportunity to deputise in the absence of the Head of Therapies.

Job Responsibilities:

  • To be responsible for the provision of the Inpatient Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy service to all wards across the Princess Grace Hospital campus, ensuring the delivery of a high quality, efficient and safe service.

  • Directly line manage the Highly Specialist Therapists, Senior Therapists and Therapies Assistant, being responsible for work related performance, professional conduct, and competence.

  • Conduct team meetings, one to ones, appraisals, career conversations, probation reviews and disciplinary meetings.

  • To be able to provide clinical support and leadership across all specialities, including Orthopaedics, Cardiorespiratory, Oncology, Neuro and General Surgery where required.

  • To take responsibility for ensuring smooth day-to-day running of the inpatient therapies service, dealing with patient queries, patient complaints, assisting in resolution of billing enquiries and managing external stakeholders.

  • Utilise strong leadership, coaching and motivational skills, identifying individual training and career development needs with the team.

What you’ll bring:

  • Professional undergraduate degree in Physiotherapy (BSc Hons)

  • HCPC registered

  • CSP member (desirable)

  • Highly specialist experience in a range of specialties

  • Experience working within in-patient settings within an acute hospital

  • Team leadership experience (desirable)
