We’re looking for an experienced Theatre Coordinator to join our Theatre department at London Bridge Hospital, recently rated “Outstanding” by the CQC. The theatres across our facilities, provide a vibrant, exciting and professional environment where the advance equipment and technology is second to none. 

 

The London Bridge Hospital provides the highest level of care for patients who are looking for the best treatment in key areas of healthcare, including: neurosurgery, spinal surgery, cardiac care, orthopaedics, urology, robotics, gynaecology and cancer care. They have 10 Theatres across 2 buildings covering multiple surgical specialties. Successful candidates will be part of a large theatre team of colleagues, experienced professionals. The London Bridge Hospital has a successful track record of career progression, offering support, and development to those seeking to aspire higher or widen their knowledge. 

 

As Theatre Coordinator, you will assist the Theatre Manager in the day-to-day operational management of the department, including workforce planning, scheduling, quality governance and people management. You will be expected to deal with matters essential for the smooth running of the service and by ensuring a high stranded of care is delivered to patients and a proficient level of expertise is provided for consultant users through efficient and effective utilization of resources. This role is based primarily at our Private Care at Guy’s site which houses 3 DaVinci robotic systems in its 4 operating rooms, delivering one of the largest multi-specialty surgical robotic programmes in the UK.

What you’ll bring:  

  • Experienced Theatre Nurse, or Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) 

  • Registered to practice in the UK 

  • Relevant clinical expertise 

  • Relevant Theatre Course or equivalent 

  • Management Course or working towards 

  • Exposure to surgical robotics
