Ward Sister/Charge Nurse – Neuro Rehab 
London: The Wellington Hospital  
37.5 hours per week  
Shift times: Monday – Sunday based on internal rotation, you will need to be flexible to work long days, nights and weekends   
Permanent contract  
Salary: Competitive (DOE) plus 9% shift allowance  

  

We’re looking for a Ward Sister/Charge Nurse to join our Neuro Rehabilitation team at The Wellington Hospital, currently rated “Outstanding” by the CQC.  

  

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated nurse with exceptional skills and knowledge in neuro and spinal rehabilitation to assist in leading the way in the provision of outstanding patient care within HCA 

This role is both exciting and challenging; the skills required are both based on an experience of managing this specialist patient group but also utilizing a strong evidence base. 

The charge nurse will work with the manager and matron to deliver high quality and innovative nursing practice in line with HCA mission and vision, national guidelines and standards in both spinal and neuro rehabilitation care 

 

The Wellington Hospital's Rehabilitation Centre, part of HCA Healthcare UK, is the largest private centre in the UK. Designed specifically for rehabilitation patients, we provide intensive and bespoke programmes of care for patients particularly those with complex neurological injuries and conditions such as a stroke, head injury or spinal cord injury. We have a Neurological Rehabilitation Unit, Prolonged Disorders of Consciousness Unit (PDOC), Medical Rehabilitation Programme, Functional Restoration Programme (FRP) and Polytrauma and Amputee Rehabilitation Programme.

What you’ll bring:   

  • Experience working in neuro rehabilitation setting 
  • Experience in the provision of staff education within neuro and spinal care(local level) 
  • Current nursing registration (First Level) through the Nursing & Midwifery Council 
  • To be willing to undertake relevant post-registration courses 
  • ILS provider course completed and qualification in required upon hire, or within 3 month of hire
