Internationally based pharmacists who have recently received GPhC registration
EEA Qualified Pharmacists who have recently obtained a ‘recognition of qualification’ and in the process / completion of obtaining GPhC registration
Non-EEA Qualified Pharmacists who have completed OSPAP Course (Overseas Pharmacists’ Assessment Programme) and due to complete Foundation Year
The Role & Responsibilities
The Clinical Pharmacist is a key role, responsible for delivering a high standard of pharmaceutical services to meet the needs of our clients. The Clinical Pharmacist will act as a key member of the Pharmacy team, ensuring the safe and effective running of the pharmacy whilst always looking at ways to improve processes and the quality of the service provided.
The Clinical Pharmacist will provide a high level of service to all patients and will have the relevant skills and knowledge to deliver a safe pharmaceutical service to patients in a sensitive, confident and professional manner.
To provide clinical pharmacy services to inpatient wards including intensive care units providing relevant skills and knowledge to ensure the provision of an appropriate level of care to patients that is safe and delivered in a confident and professional manner.
To provide evidence-based medicines information on a pro-active basis and timely reactive manner following enquiries made by medical, clinical & non-clinical staff, patients and visitors.
To contribute to HCA Medicines Management framework ensuring the prescribing, procurement, receipt, stock control, security, supply, use of, safety and disposal of medicines are of the highest standard and are compliant with relevant policies, regulations and legislation.
To ensure that stock levels of medicines, medical gases and intravenous fluids are adequate to cover the hospital requirements and that stock is stored in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations.
Skills & Experience
Completed GPhC Registration or at least in the process of completion.
English Level Requirement: IELTs (overall grade 7), OET (Overall B grade), practicing from a major English Language country or equivalent
Significant experience working as a qualified pharmacist
Additional post graduate clinical qualifications are ideal
