We have an excellent opportunity for an Administrator to join our Pre-Operative Assessment Unit at The Lister Hospital. You will play a crucial role in coordinating patient flow within the Pre-Operative Assessment (POA) service. This role involves providing administrative and secretarial support to ensure the smooth running of the department while assisting the nursing team in patient assessment and management.

What you’ll do:

  • Manage the scheduling of clinic appointments to help organise the nurses workloads.
  • Liaise with the patients to assist in the nursing triage process.
  • Manage and organise the group email inbox to ensure timely actions where required.
  • Handle the incoming telephone traffic and direct as appropriate.
  • Communication with patients to provide Pre-Op Information required.

What you'll bring:

  • Previous administration experience within a hospital setting
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Multi-tasking skills and ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure
  • Highly motivated, ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Computer literate
