Location: The Portland Hospital for Women & Children- Great Portland Street W1W 5AH, London  
Hours: Full-Time 37.5hrs pw Mon-Fri, fixed term contract for 1 year
Salary: competitive dependent on skills & Experience + benefits (pension, health cover, flexible benefits and excellent career development)  

We’re looking for an Urgent Care Sister to join our Paediatric team at The Portland Hospital, currently rated “Good” by the CQC and the only independent hospital in the UK entirely dedicated to women and children. The high level of specialist knowledge at The Portland is reflected in the services we provide, offering clinical expertise across Paediatrics, Obstetrics and Women`s Health.

As a Paediatric Urgent Care Sister, you will provide clinical leadership and ensure the provision of high-quality nursing care to children and families. You will be undertaking responsibility for the department and working to promote a progressive attitude to the continual improvement of patient care through research and evidence-based practice. 

Our Paediatric Urgent Care Centre oversees patients that attend the clinic for emergency consultations, diagnostic tests and minor procedures if necessary.

What you’ll bring:

  • NMC Child Registered Nurse (RN Child / RSCN) with immediate paediatric life support

  • Understanding of Safeguarding issues with Safeguarding Level 3 training

  • Must have experience working within an Urgent care setting

  • Must have experience Leading a team 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication

  • Excellent knowledge of clinical governance and experience with audits
