Role: Sterile Services Coordinator
Birmingham, The Harborne Hospital
Full time, 37.5 hours per week
Permanent

We’re looking for a Sterile Services Coordinator to join our team at the Harborne Hospital, part of the World’s largest private healthcare group; providing award winning primary, acute and complex care.

As a Sterile Services Coordinator in theatres, you’ll play a vital role in providing sterile instruments/supplies to theatres and departments within the hospital, in a timely and efficient manner. You'll assist with decontamination process of reusable medical devices in line with hospital and national guidelines, showing an understanding of the Infection Control requirements in relation to patient care and medical devices. From processing used surgical instruments for dispatch to receiving sterile surgical equipment and supporting our friendly theatre team - you'll make sure everything is efficient and sterile for use, in accordance with health and safety guidelines.

What you’ll bring:

  • Experience working in a sterile services department

  • Knowledge of relevant hospital policies and procedures either within the NHS or private hospital setting

  • Health and Safety training including Lifting and Handling training

  • A real team player who has excellent communication, attention to detail and the ability to recognise and report faults in equipment
