Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
Shift times: The service runs from 08:00am to 20:00pm (Monday – Friday shifts between 08:00am and 20:00pm)
Contract Type: Permanent
Salary: Dependent upon skills and experience (with excellent benefits)
We’re looking for a Lead Radiology Department Assistant to join our team at The Harley Street Clinic, currently rated “Outstanding” by the CQC.

As the Lead Radiology Departmental Assistant you will work within the Ultrasound department dealing with clinical and administrative jobs for the department. This will include but not limited to leading a team of RDA’s, chaperoning US scans, booking appointments, printing reports, coordinating lists and organising rota's for the team. This job will support all Harley Street outpatient centres - Women's Health Centre, Devonshire Diagnostic and Molecular Imaging Centre.
Duties & responsibilities:
Lead the Radiology Departmental Assistant team
Ensure adequate training of all staff
Ensure appraisals are performed for team and also regular 1-1’s
Coordinate the rota for the team
Meet and greet all visitors to the Ultrasound department to include patients and Consultant Users.
Chaperone Ultrasound scans and assist consultants with reports, patient monitoring etc.
Answer all emails and telephone enquiries, referring where appropriate.
Support interventional radiology procedures in ultrasound.
General Administration of the Ultrasound department
Arrange bookings for US
Sending out reports
Maintain Ultrasound stock control in the ultrasound department
Work closely with the other Radiology Department Lead to support the Harley Street Campus ultrasound needs.
Ensuring patient comfort, dignity and privacy are maintained at all times and are specific to the patients’ needs.
Assisting the Site Superintendent to coordinate lists across imaging
To assist the Ultrasound staff and Consultant’s in the department as required.
Ensure that the equipment is maintained in good working order and report faults where necessary.

What you’ll bring:
Previous Hospital Healthcare experience desirable
Radiology Department experience is desirable
Ability to work independently and within a team.
Exceptional communication and organisation skills.
Ability to be flexible with working patterns
Competent IT user to include Word and Excel
