Role: IVF Counsellor

Location: The Lister Fertility Clinic, London

Contract Type: Bank

We are looking for someone to work as part of our counselling team in our busy IVF clinic providing support, therapeutic and implications counselling to patients undergoing a range of treatments including those considering creating families through donor assisted conception and surrogacy via our Bank.

You will deliver a range of counselling implications, therapeutic and support sessions to fertility patients, donors and surrogates before, during and after treatment (through remote working and/or face-to-face sessions, and will audit your work too).

  • The IVF Bank Counsellor will be BACP accredited or accredited by an equivalent counselling or psychotherapy body and have a minimum of two years’ experience.

  • The bank counsellor will be a member of the British Infertility Counselling Association (BICA) or be working towards specialist accreditation with BICA and will have completed the BICA Foundation Course for Fertility Counselling.

  • The bank worker will be required to work within the British Infertility Counselling Association (BICA) guidelines and the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority (HFEA) Code of Practice.
