Role: Radiotherapy Team Leader
Location: London, The Harley Street Clinic 
Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week 
Shift times: Service is open from 08:00 to 20:00. We can offer a 9 or 10 day working fortnight 
Contract: Permanent
Salary: Up to £54,645.00 depending on experience with excellent benefits

We’re looking for a Team Leader to join our team at The Harley Street Clinic, currently rated “Outstanding” by the CQC.

Duties & responsibilities: 

  • Maintain exemplary professional standards and quality assurance in all aspects of patient care. 

  • Be responsible for the accurate planning or administration of radiotherapy treatments ensuring accurate documentation of treatments in accordance with departmental policies and procedures. 

  • In conjunction with senior radiographic staff, agree, implement and monitor systems of work, quality assurance procedures and protocols. 

  • Maintain effective liaison with all appropriate staff to ensure the provision of a high-quality service and a smooth and efficient work flow through the department. 

  • In conjunction with other health professionals, support and participate in a team approach to problem solving leading to the continued development of the radiotherapy service. 

  • Operate radiotherapy equipment in accordance with operational procedures ensuring routine quality assurance procedures are carried out. 

  • Ensure all equipment faults and malfunctions are recorded and reported to the Radiotherapy Service Manager and Physicist. 

  • The post holder will assist and deputise for superintendents within the Radiotherapy department as required and to act as a first line expert in technical and leadership skills within the department. They will manage staff and patients and will be responsible for carrying out all practical aspects involved in preparing and delivering radiotherapy treatments, including complex techniques such as SABR, ensuring a safe, accurate and efficient radiotherapy service is maintained. The post holder must be qualified to practice as an operator within radiotherapy as defined by IR(ME)R and have a responsibility, to ensure compliance with all HCA policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for patients, visitors and employees

What you’ll bring:  

  • DCR(T)/BSc (Hons) in Therapeutic Radiography or equivalent 

  • HCPC registration 

  • Extensive clinical experience as a senior radiographer or Team Leader level within treatment and pre-treatment. 

  • Advanced knowledge of patient management systems, experience with Eclipse TPS and Aria is desirable.
