Compliance Officer

Backlogs, Compass Point, St Ives, Cambridgeshire, PE27 5JL. You may be required to work in the Northampton office if short term support is needed

Full time, 37.5 hours/ week

Monday – Friday, 0900-1700

We are currently recruiting for a Compliance Officer to join our St Ives Office in Cambridgeshire. This role is vital in providing administrative expertise and support to the Operations Team at Backlogs, assisting with the process of continuous quality improvement.

What you’ll do:

  • Support the recruitment of Pathologists with collection and maintenance of the documents and information required to ensure the Pathologist Tracker is complete and information is up to date
  • Preparation of documentation for submission of new Pathologist Service Agreements and renewals ready for submission on PAWS and Convergepoint
  • Maintenance of the pathologist tracker - in particular ensuring medical defence, appraisals and microscope service is up to date
  • Send out annual documentation checks to Pathologists, monitor their return and update the Pathologist Tracker, chasing any further documents as necessary
  • Assist with the continuous monitoring and Internal Quality Assurance of pathologists within the clinical team
  • Assist with the review of working practices and updating of standard operating procedures (SOPs), policies and risk assessments as appropriate
  • Participate in audits as required in line with UKAS (ISO 15189:2022) requirements enabling a process of continual quality improvement
  • Assist with the investigations of incidents through the CAPA module on Q-pulse

What you’ll bring:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong excel skills- the ability to manipulte and manage excel spreadsheets
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Computer literate
