Role: Radiology Senior Staff Nurse (FTC)

Full time: 37.5 hours per week plus rotational on call
Shift times: Monday – Fri (flexibility required to cover opening hours of 8am-8pm)
Fixed Term contract: Maternity leave cover until 30/04/2025
Salary: £42,500 - £46,417 (DOE)
We’re looking for a Fixed term contract Senior Staff Nurse in Radiology to join our Imaging Department until end April 2025 at the Princess Grace Hospital, currently rated “Good” by the CQC.
As the Senior Staff Nurse within the imaging department you will report to the Duty Clinical Lead Nurse/Manager and will provide a customer focused and high quality nursing service to our patients and service users.
The role will require rotation throughout all the imaging modalities (Interventional Radiology, CT, MRI and Core Services) and throughout all the imaging sites, although the primary base will be the Princess Grace Hospital.
The post holder will also support the Radiologist and Radiographers in the management of the clinical areas, including assessment of care needs, the development, implementation, and evaluation of programs of care.

The hospital also has a several specialised centres, including; The London Breast Institute, recognised as one of the best private breast screening and diagnostic treatment centres in the UK; the London Digestive Centre, a highly specialised outpatient facility offering diagnoses and treatments for all conditions of the stomach, small and large intestines, liver, pancreas, and bile ducts; and The Institute of Sport Exercise and Health, a state-of-the-art facility dedicated to sport and exercise medicine.

Hold a BSc (or equivalent) in Nursing and hold a current UK NMC registration meeting PREP requirements.
Evidence in health / nursing-related studies with on-going personal and professional development through CPD/protocol development within a radiology area.
Have experience in mentoring
Post Graduate qualification within imaging or another relevant area
Registered Nurse with extensive experience & significant IR Nursing knowledge
Able to use own initiative and ability to work as part of the team.
Ability to work flexible hours to meet the service requirements and will be required to work on call to cover the emergency service
Ability to work under pressure and reliable.
Strong organisational skills working across many modalities
