Town / Site: London: The Wellington Hospital Central Building, 21 Wellington Rd, London NW8 9SQ 
Full time: 37.5 hours per week Monday - Friday 
Shift times: Shift Flexibility to cover opening hours 7am - 6pm 
Permanent contract 
Salary: competitive ( DOE) 
 

We’re looking for an Endoscopy Lead to join our JAG accredited Endoscopy unit at The Wellington Hospital currently rated “Good” by the CQC.  

 

The Wellington Hospital has over four decades of expertise; providing the highest level of care for patients who are looking for the best treatment in key areas of healthcare, including: neurosurgery, spinal surgery, cardiac care, orthopaedics, acute neurological rehabilitation, gynaecology and cancer care. The Wellington Hospital Endoscopy Unit is a JAG accredited site.  
  

What you'll do: 

 

As the Endoscopy Lead you will play a key role in the management and development of the Endoscopy Unit. Formulating the strategy for the continued development and strengthening the unit will include the identification of quality issues and their resolution. You will be responsible for the provision of high-quality cost-effective care; an education and development strategy for all grades of staff will be formulated to support the operational needs of the Unit. 

The team consist of diverse 12-15 staff, consisting of Nurses, HCA's and Admin.  We are friendly, supportive and dedicated to the delivery of best patients care. 

 

What you’ll bring:  

  • Extensive endoscopy experience within a Private or NHS Hospital 

  • Previous experience working within a JAG accredited unit  

  • Comprehensive knowledge of the Global Rating Scale and JAG accreditation 

  • Previous experience working within a lead or senior capacity in endoscopy 

  • Knowledge of Audits 

  • Knowledge and experience of Decontamination

  • Appropriate knowledge of external bodies such as CQC and JAG 

  • Must have analytical skills and be a positive problem solver with excellent communication skills.
