Full time: Monday – Friday 37.5 hour per week
Shift times: 9am – 5pm

We’re looking for a Lead Occupation Therapist to join our Occupational Therapist Team at the Wellington Hospital, currently rated “Good” by the CQC.

The Occupational Therapy team plays a vital role across both the acute medical wards and the Neurological rehabilitation wards at The Wellington Hospital.

As a Lead Occupational Therapist, you will coordinate the daily operational activities of the Occupational Therapy department on the acute neurorehabilitation unit, work closely with the AHP Manager and other therapy leads to establish and promote the delivery of high-quality treatment, be able to manage a defined clinical case load and provide high quality treatment to patients, within the context of an Interdisciplinary rehabilitation team within both an inpatient and outpatient setting and provide clinical support to junior staff including Senior 1 and Senior 2 Occupational Therapists and Therapy assistants on the rehabilitation unit.

What you’ll bring:

  • Honours Degree in Occupational Therapy (or equivalent)
  • Current registered member of Health Professions Council (HCPC)
  • Specialist knowledge and application of OT assessments and interventions relevant to a neurologically impaired client group
  • Ability to work autonomously and set own priorities
  • Proven leadership skills
  • Maintenance of up to date knowledge re developments in the field of neurology and   rehabilitation as pertaining to your field of work
  • Membership of the College of Occupational Therapy
