We’re looking for a Sister/Charge Nurse to join our ITU Unit at The Wellington Hospital, currently rated “Good” by the CQC
As the Sister/Charge Nurse for our ITU Unit, you will provide clinical leadership in the delivery of the service. We’ll look to you to be an innovative leader that can inspire and develop the team.
In the absence of the Unit Manager, you will oversee the day to day clinical operations of the department, acting as an expert practitioner and role model, assisting your junior colleagues to develop advanced knowledge and skills in order to benefit the treatment and care of critically ill patients in our hospital.
You will have the opportunity to work across an extremely diverse and acute patient-load covering a range of specialities, including GI, Neuro & Spinal – giving you the flexibility to specialise in a specific area or keep your work varied and your skills challenged. As our units are equipped with the latest technology you have everything you need to provide specialised care to our level 2 & 3 patients. In addition to the amazing team and patients,

What you’ll bring:
- Registered General Nurse
- Experience of working in ICU or Critical care
- ALS
- Cardiothoracic, General, Liver or Neuro experience in an ICU environment
- ITU/ Critical Care course (60 Credits)
