We have an exciting opportunity for an Advanced Speech and Language Therapist to join our London Bridge Hospital campus, rated as 'outstanding' by the CQC. The London Bridge Hospital campus in South East London encompasses an outpatients and diagnostic centre in The Shard; the large world-class hospital based at the Tooley Street site; Private Care at Guys, which is on the top four floors of Guys Hospital Cancer Centre; and outpatient and diagnostic centres across the City.
As an Advanced Speech and Language Therapist you will primarily lead on the development of the Speech & Language Therapy service within the Critical Care Unit, as well as offering support to patients on our neurology, general medical, surgical and oncology wards. You will take a lead role in providing a high-quality Speech and Language Therapy service that is evidence based and in line with best practice standard, providing specialist services to both inpatient and outpatient adults, and as a key member of the MDT. You will also work closely within a network of HCA SLT colleagues.

What you’ll bring:
Professional qualification in Speech and Language Therapy
Registered member of HCPC
Experience working within an acute adult hospital setting, including Critical Care
Evidence of successful completion of tracheostomy competency framework & able to independently manage patients requiring mechanical ventilation.
Evidence of successful post graduate training in videofluoroscopy/FEES.
Experience in head & neck oncology is desirable but not essential
