About the facility:
The Harborne Hospital - part of HCA Healthcare UK is a brand new £100million, purpose built 50 bed, multi-speciality private hospital opening in Birmingham in 2023. Located on the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham campus, the hospital will have the deep clinical infrastructure, equipment and facilities and expert, experienced teams to deliver full clinical pathways across a mix of specialties and sub-specialties at all levels of complexity including Cardiology, Cancer and Complex Surgery. The Harborne Hospital is the 4th NHS partnership within this network, partnering with University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Trust.
HCA have an exciting opportunity for a Lead Clinical Pharmacist to join our team at The Harborne Hospital. We are looking for a highly motivated individual who displays positivity within a team to lead and assist in the provision of a comprehensive pharmacy service which consistently meets the needs of all service uses.
The successful candidate will be confident, with clear communication and a real focus on providing outstanding customer service. They will be versatile and flexible, happy to work across various roles and tasks to ensure the smooth running of the department. They will also be able to adhere to processes and protocol and have the ability to prioritise workload in order to meet the department objectives. This role will involve working in Oncology/Haematology Services.
Skills and experience
- Member of the General Pharmaceutical Council, with a BPharm, MPharm or BSC in Pharmacy
- Member of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society is desirable
- Additional postgraduate clinical qualification e.g. Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy or MSc in Clinical Pharmacy or other relevant post-graduation qualification
- Extensive relevant hospital experience
- Experience in a clinical specialist area - Oncology/Haematology
