We are currently recruiting for an Anaesthetic Practitioner at The Harborne Hospital. Part of the World’s largest private healthcare group; providing award winning primary, acute and complex care.

Contract Type; Permanent, full time 37.5 hours
Salary range: Up to £34,599 dependent on experience plus shift allowance.
About the facility:
The Harborne Hospital - part of HCA Healthcare UK is a brand new £100million, purpose built 50 bed, multi-speciality private hospital opening in Birmingham in 2023. Located on the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham campus, the hospital will have the deep clinical infrastructure, equipment and facilities and expert, experienced teams to deliver full clinical pathways across a mix of specialties and sub-specialties at all levels of complexity including Cardiology, Cancer and Complex Surgery including robotics with the latest Da Vinci XI. The Harborne Hospital is the 4th NHS partnership within this network, partnering with University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Trust.
The Anaesthetic Practitioner is responsible and accountable for providing high quality clinical assistance to the Anaesthetist during surgical procedures, you will be responsible for assessing, developing, implementing and evaluating programmes of care for patients undergoing surgical procedures. Prepare the Anaesthetic room according to the individual needs of the patient and Anaesthetist.
Duties and responsibilities:
Deliver a consistently high standard of patient care utilising evidence-based practice
Assessing, planning, delivering and evaluation of all aspect of patient care
Prepare patients and provide assistance for clinical/operative procedures
Participate fully as a team member, including working in all areas of the theatre suite, sharing knowledge and information and supporting colleagues, to promote a cohesive team and the achievement of team objectives
Skills and experience
Experienced Theatre Nurse, or Operating Department Practitioner (ODP)
Anaesthetics course (nursing)
Cardiac surgery experience (desirable)
ALS, Airways management certification
