*travel between various sites will be required

Contract: Permanent & full time – 40 hours/week (Shifts will be between 07:45 - 18:15 pro rota)
Salary: £21,548-£23,400 depending on experience

About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Float Receptionist. As a Float Receptionist, you will play a vital role in delivering a high-quality service to patients.

Your duties as a Float Receptionist will include providing a comprehensive range of administrative services to patients, GPs and other third parties that will assist in promoting the successful management of all aspects needed to facilitate a seamless patient pathway.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Meet and greet all patients, visitors, GP’s and staff and assist with their enquiries  
  • Have a good understanding of the medical system and the relevant Microsoft office programs
  • Issuing clients with the necessary paperwork and explaining forms
  • Dealing with face to face, telephone and E-Mail queries with an excellent telephone manner and communication skills
  • Work collaboratively with the Registered Manager and Clinical staff to deliver the patient journey
  • Be visible accessible and approachable for staff, patients and the public and ensure effective communication and resolution of any on site enquiries or escalation of complaints to the Senior Receptionist as needed
  • Provide Chaperone Service as required by Clinician’s on site
  • Promoting good general communication (i.e. advising of and minimizing any delays)
  • Ensuring health and safety standards are observed at all times

Ideally we are looking for someone with:

  • Previous Administrative experience is essential, ideally private
  • Computer literacy
  • Good general level of education
  • Excellent spoken and written English
  • Knowledge of relevant hospital policies and procedures
  • Excellent communication skills
