Job - Senior 1 MRI Radiographer

Location - The London Bridge Hospital, London

Contract Type - Permanent, full time hours 37.5hrs (Monday to Friday with shifts ranging from 8am-8pm on a rota basis, , with participation in the on-call rota)

Salary - Competitive (dependent on skills & experience). This position is equivalent to a NHS band 6/7.

Job Description

As Senior MRI Radiographer you will provide a customer focused high quality diagnostic Radiography service to our patients and service users; undertaking and performing all MRI procedures.

This is a full time role working 37.5hrs per week (Covering shifts between 8 am until 8 pm – There is weekend on-call) . The department has 1.5T and 3T MRI Scanners and you will be working mainly at the London Bridge Hospital and the outpatient centres.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide a professional standard of excellence in MRI services for all patients

  • Work closely with the Radiologists and Consultants in setting up policies and protocols for all MRI imaging and patient pathways

  • identify improvements on an ongoing basis and oversee the implementation of such improvements as agreed with the line manager

  • Assist with patient bookings and administrative duties where necessary, ensuring verified radiologist reports are delivered in a timely manner

  • Assist with staff orientation and training

Skills & Experience

  • HCPC registered

  • Degree within Radiography

  • Extensive MRI experience needed including abdominal, gynaecology and all vascular exams. Cardiac MRI experience  preferable.

  • Knowledge of processes and procedures in radiography
