About Harborne Hospital

HCA Healthcare UK is the country's largest provider of privately funded care with 800,000 patient interactions every year. The new hospital will provide a robust clinical infrastructure where we will be able to provide comprehensive care from initial diagnostics, surgery, acute and complex treatment follow up care.

Job Description:

The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) will report directly into the Chief Human Resource Officer (CHRO) and will play a key role in supporting the people aspects of the pre-opening activity for The Harborne Hospital.  Following the opening in 2023, the HRBP will partner with members of the management team and their teams, to provide proactive and dynamic support in relation to day to day HR matters whilst working closely with the CHRO to implement the HR strategy across the facility. 

The HRBP is a trusted partner to the management team and will be required to establish and deliver support to facilitate long term objectives, deputising for the CHRO when required.  You will support with embedding our culture and values, and helping to deliver an exceptional colleague experience.
 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Working with the CHRO to implement and develop the HR strategy in key areas such as talent, resourcing, reward, employee engagement and organisational development
  • Partner with the management team in the delivery of key HR projects and local HR initiatives
  • Providing expert advice on complex employee relations issues ensuring that that managers are coached to deal with complex staff issues
  • To coach and support the management team enabling them to anticipate and pre-empt organisational and people issues
  • Support Organisational Development programmes
  • Workforce Planning

Skills and experience:

  • Fully CIPD Qualified
  • Ability to act at an operational and strategic level
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships across different levels of the organisation
  • Strong multi-tasker, time management and planner who is able to work well autonomously and as part of a team
  • Healthcare knowledge is essential
  • Experience of advising and coaching senior managers on all day to day HR matters.
