Job  Senior/Specialist Physiotherapist (Medical/Oncology)

Location - The Wellington Hospital, London

Contract Type - Permanent Contract, full time hours 37.5hrs

Salary - Competitive (dependent on skills & experience). This position is equivalent to a Band 7 NHS.

Other Information - We will be able to sponsor Visa's for candidates within the EU as well as non - EU countries.

Job Description

HCA Healthcare UK is looking to recruit an experienced Senior Specialist Physiotherapist (Band 7 equivalent), to join their team at the Wellington Hospital, to manage a defined caseload of patients with complex needs. You will have variety and autonomy to work in service areas including but not limited to the oncology, surgical and medical wards.

Job Responsibilities

  • To provide clinical supervision and facilitate the learning and development of Senior 2 staff members and therapy assistants within the acute therapy service. 

  • To be responsible for the daily routine on allocated wards in conjunction with interdisciplinary team members and ensure physiotherapy responsibilities are met.

  • To undertake comprehensive assessments of patients, including those with diverse or complex pathology/presentations using appropriate clinical reasoning skills, observation skills and manual assessment skills to provide an accurate physiotherapy diagnosis and understanding of their condition

  • To network with leads of oncology service lines across HCA to ensure service delivery excellence.

  • To participate in weekday and weekend emergency on call rotas.

  • To support the physiotherapy service working flexibly across the working week.

Skills & Experience

  • HCPC Registration

  • Physiotherapy degree qualification

  • Post registration clinical experience in medical and surgical oncology.
