Permanent, Full time, 37.5 hours/ week. Shifts vary from 8 am to 6 pm. An additional Saturday shift (6 h) may be required

Salary - £23,000 and £28,500 + Benefits (pension, health cover, flexible benefits and excellent career development)

About the role

We have a brilliant opportunity for an Administrator to join our HCA Laboratories. Within this role, you will provide secretarial and administrative expertise and support to the Cellular Pathology Department in liaison with the clinical, managerial and laboratory staff to ensure smooth running of the administrative and medical records service at Cellular Pathology Office.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • To undertake administrative and reception duties on the Cellular Pathology Department
  • Provide a first class medical secretarial service using correct medical terminology, including transcription of samples clinical and macroscopic details
  • Managing samples and documentation for second opinions/external MDT/Clinical & Research
  • Organize material for patient’s MDTs and close collaboration with MDTs coordinators on preparation of MDTs
  • To carry out administration/reception duties i.e. photocopying filing, answering email/ telephone etc.
  • Perform other applicable tasks and duties assigned within the realm of the employees’ knowledge, skill and ability

Skills & Experience:

  • Previous admin experience within healthcare
  • Computer literate
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately
