Job - Senior/Specialist Oncology Occupational Therapist

Location - Harley Street Clinic

Contract Type - Permanent, part time hours 27.5hrs

Salary Range - Competitive dependent upon skills and experience). This is equivalent to a band 7 NHS position.

Job Description

Working alongside an Occupational Therapy colleague will manage a caseload of surgical and oncology inpatients. To develop comprehensive patient centred treatment plans and interventions.

The role will be based at The Harley Street Clinic working within a busy therapy multidisciplinary team. You will report into the Lead Physiotherapist and be managed within the Therapies and Supportive services department.

This is a part time role initially funded for 27.5 hours per week, with potential for expansion.Ideally working 9.30 – 15:00 daily, however, days /shift pattern is negotiable.

Job Responsibilities

  • To provide assessment and treatment of Oncology and surgery inpatients

  • Use evidence based assessments and therapy interventions to support patient recovery and discharge

  • Contribute to Oncology multidisciplinary team meetings and care planning, sharing specialist knowledge and skills with peers and colleagues

  • Maintain high professional standards and lead on service development

  • Contribute to clinical audit

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Health and Care Professionals (HCPC) registration

  • Degree qualified in Occupational Therapy

  • Experience of working in an Oncology setting

  • Evidence of CPD and up-to-date practise
