Part of HCA Healthcare UK – the world’s largest private acute and complex care hospital group and winners of 'The Best Private Healthcare provider 2016' the London Bridge Hospital campus encompasses an outpatients and diagnostic centre in The Shard, the large world-class hospital based at the Tooley Street site, and a further five outpatient and diagnostic centres across the City, Canary Wharf and Kent.

In May 2017 we welcomed the newest addition to our campus into the top four floors of the new Cancer Centre at Guy’s NHS Trust. With a £38.2 million investment and at 60,000 square feet, this purpose built facility has allowed the London Bridge Hospital to house its cancer services under one roof. Consultants from London’s top teaching hospitals offer full surgical provision in urology, gynaecology and breast, as well as reconstructive surgery for these specialties. The new site also encompasses inpatient and daycase beds, operating theatres including the first integrated robotics theatre in the UK, housing a Da Vinci Robot.

London Bridge Hospital achieved an ‘Outstanding’ accreditation by the healthcare regulators Care Quality Commission in 2017, with them remarking that they saw innovative practice throughout the hospital including new research taking place, and the Consultants and staff were noted as being highly motivated individuals, and all committed to providing high quality patient centred care.
Job Description
As Business Development Lead, you will make certain that London Bridge Hospital remains closely in touch with its market and to act as a link and facilitator between corporate organisations and private medical insurers (PMI’s) and hospital staff so that London Bridge Hospital becomes the preferred choice for patients.

You will ensure that corporate clients and PMIs (both UK and International) are kept up to date with new advancements and are informed about the diverse range of services and how to access them. This will be accomplished through contact at seminars, events and visits.

You will be responsible for business growth and developing referrals through long term relationship management with corporate companies. To have a large amount of input in visits, continuous medical education and to be responsible for developing new opportunities in each of these areas.

In addition to this, the post holder will be responsible for creating and leading a navigation service for patients with international private medical insurance.
Overarching the role will be the continual search for opportunities and being proactive in developing these into plans with workable and productive outcomes alongside managing a navigation team for patients with international private medical insurance.
Duties & Responsibilities
Understanding the marketplace, competitors and referral potential within an area to act on leads and increase referral sources.

To arrange meetings with relevant corporate clientele to promote the services available at London Bridge Hospital

Supervise and lead a patient navigation team to ensure that patients with international private medical insurance can access Hospitals services.

Follow up on meetings to ensure that relationships are managed to build loyalty to London Bridge Hospital.

To develop opportunities into a realistic business plan, complete with timescales, investment needed and potential growth.

To attend local training, conferences, consultations processes and network events to strengthen knowledge.

Researching changes within healthcare and the local area to highlight opportunities.

Organisation of seminars, health awareness days, in-house corporate health education and networking events throughout the year.

Being proactive in developing new service ideas to promote London Bridge Hospital

Track and record Business Development performance and activity with compilation of reports and statistics.

Liaise with staff at London Bridge Hospital and with external organisations to understand fully what we can offer corporate organisations.

Work closely with the Consultant Liaison and Marketing departments to ensure that both departments complement each other.
